Using the Look Cover Write Check (LCWC) method practiced in classrooms, this app meets the elements of the Year 1 level of the Australian Curriculum. It has over 470 (predominantly) single syllable, consonant-vowel-consonant (cvc) short vowel words spread across more than 70 lists. The lists group the words by both starting sounds (onset) and ending sounds (rime) also helping children with the concept of word families.
Full audio means your child can listen to each word on its own as well as in context in a sentence.
Children are given instant feedback and after every 5 consecutively correct spellings a challenging timeout game is unlocked.
